Your doctor will understand. if you do go with your mom you can request to see the doctor by yourself first. All gynaecologists should ask you privately about your sexual activity as you may be at risk of a sexually transmitted infection that needs testing and treating. Although the doctor may not open the topic it is easy to assume that you got your mom with you coz she already knows you are sexually active. So its a bit tricky. You may choose to go to the gynaecologist by yourself first and only take your mom if there is something there that she needs to know about. You can take a friend instead.
