Whitespots on chest & arm

Asked for Male, 2 Years

My boy Arjun is just 2 years old. For the last 7-8 months I have been seeing white colour patches that are forming on his chest & left arm. First time when I took him to the pediatrician they gave a cream lykar, we tried it for 3 to 4 months but the patches would not go. yes they have faded little but there still very much there. Finally when we visited skin doctor he told us that it could be with vitiligo and it is difficult to cure. we are very sad please let us know something can be done.

vitiligo can be controlled with tablets and creams are available which are supposed to be combined with phototherapy that is sunlight. unless we control the immune process which is destroying your melanocytes, the progress will not stop. please send me photos of your current patches for advice on treatment.
