Hi My mother has a whole in Ear. Is the surgery only treatment to close the whole ? Is there any alternative to the treatment? She has the cold allergy . Please let me know your suggestions Thanks Prashanth

If the whole is small then cautery patching or even fat myringoplasty can be done.. You will have to consult an ENT specialist for the same .. these are minor procedure
