There are some medicines which are very costly and their substitutes are available for as low as 30% of their cost.
Is it safe to take the medicines with the low cost or there is a compromise with the quality/composition??

Adjuvants ie the things other than the main salt are different and can affect absorption or action of drug.
Also the company that first made the drug generally keeps the cost high to cover its expenses of RnD
