Will minoxidil work for frontprt of head
I have hairfall from past 6 years. For that reason, I do shave my head for 3-4 times a year. I have undergone hair treatment under VCARE hair clinic in Hyderabad 2 years ago. It doesn't shown any results. I used their tablets and oils for 6 months. Instead of getting results, I'm getting fat and obese but I didn't eat that much to get fat. I don't know whether it's sideeffect or what. So I stopped using those tablets. From last 5 years onwards, I'm loosing my hair on my front and sides of my head. I don't know why. But I eat all foods. But I do masturbate twice or thrice a week. Is that a problem for hairfall? From last 1 year, my scalp is getting completely visible. I'm losing my hair totally on my front head and also my sides also ruined. So I started using MINOXIDIL MX-5 (H&H labs) from last 1 month. So this is the second month I'm using MX-5. I heard that minoxidil shows results for crown part of head. Will it thicken hair for front part of head? Or else any treatment required?PRP

Thanks for the query. Male pattern baldness (MPB) is an increasing problem in today's society. Hair care is a daily ritual shaped by age, gender, socioeconomic status and internal health. With increasing affordability people are more aware of the cosmetic appearance and hair fall forms a major part of the complaints. It is more difficult to manage if there is a family member with similar hair fall, it indicates genetics and we know that the person is destined to lose hair if not intervened and corrective measures are not taken. The treatment typically consists of usage of oral medication (Finasteride) and topical lotion (Minoxidil in 5% strength). One needs to be patient with the treatment protocol as it takes months to see initial improvement. Minoxidil is recommended by US-FDA for indefinite usage. Certain dermatologists supplement biotin, hair serum and advice procedures like PRP therapy which may accelerate the rate of hair growth. PRP needs multiple sessions (4-6) roughly at 6 weeks intervals. PRP therapy is increasingly being accepted by dermatologists all over the world. Apart from active pharmaceutical medicines, a healthy diet and lifestyle is mandatory to achieve results.
