I've had pains over the last few months in my wisdom tooth area like internally in gums. I've seen few dentists in past and they suggested removal of wisdom tooth. is it the only possible solution? I'm not able to chew my food properly.

Wisdom teeth is one that fails to erupt in its normal position in the given period of time...
consequence of wisdom teeth:
**Erosion of adjacent teeth and cause cavitation
**soreness of jaw
** Trismus(Difficulty in mouth opening)
**Pericoronitis(Inflammation of gums around the teeth) which leads to food impaction
**cyst formation
As you are symptomatic it is mandatory to remove the teeth
Medication(pain killers ) are only temporary solution
It requires surgical removela followed by analgesics and antibiotics

Yes , wisdom teeth require extraction when they are not erupted in a proper position and give discomfort. They may also damage the tooth in front of them due to food impaction, hence it is better to extract them
Its better to go for extraction of wisdom teeth as of now it is not used much in chewing of food. Moreover permanent solution to the problem is only extraction
