Wisdom tooth filling
Hi please check the picture, can this small cavity on wisdom tooth be filled ? The decay is not so deep but little sensitivity in that black hole when food is chewed from that side. Even xray showed no deep cavity. I had already removed one lower wisdom & 4 molars for braces so dont want to extract if this wisdom can be filled. Please suggest.

Clinical picture shows that the decay isn't deep but to confirm the diagnosis an x ray evaluation is necessary. Even if it's a deep cavity it can be saved with the help of root canal treatment but everything depends on the diagnosis.
Next Steps
post x ray evaluation the further treatment can be planned
Health Tips
if opposing tooth is present and this tooth is completely erupted you can still save it with root canal treatment even if the decay is deep also and cannot be restored.

It looks like a very small cavity only and if it is confirmed in the iopar(X-ray) also, then u can go ahead with a restoration(filling)
Next Steps
reconfirm in an iopar(x-ray)
Health Tips
Also use any desensitizing tooth paste(Thermoseal or SHY-NM) for few days and keep your mouth clean as u said u r undergoing braces treatment
