Wisdom Tooth Postcare
I got my tooth extracted this afternoon. I've replaced the gauze pad twice in 2 hours and I dropped the pad on the floor so I have had to put tissue in my mouth as I have no more gauze pads. What do I do?

You don't need to keep a gauze after two hours if the bleeding has stopped. Avoid spitting.
Next Steps
Swallow. any saliva that collects in your mouth. Spitting too much will delay healing and lead to dry socket.

Need to first ascertain that bleeding from the wound has stopped . If it has no need to put gauze . If the bleeding or oozing is on then you can put either gauze or cotton , and again start applying ice from outside in that region. Do not spit .
Next Steps
Ice application is very important immediately after extraction.
Health Tips
Please call up your dentist and do the check up so that the chances of post operative infection is minimised.
