Yellowish stains on teeth can be removed by bleaching. Before bleaching you will have to undergo scaling and polishing of your teeth. Bleaching helps to remove the stains from tooth surface. Usually 2-3 sittings are required for bleaching but effect can be seen after first sitting. In case of severe stains veneers are recommended to mask stains.

Yes you can get whiter teeth with bleaching  but before bleaching you have to get full mouth cleaning & polishing done.  with that if you are satisfied with the colour of teeth you need not do bleaching but if not then as a next step bleaching  is to be considered.  but pl remember all these procedures are temporary & your maintenance of oral hygiene is very important. Hope this helps
