Brca 1 mutation
Hi, my mom had breast cancer in early 30s and ovary cancer in early 40s. I am alright but tested positive for Brca 1 mutation. What should I do now?
Different stages of the cancer require different treatment, which needs to be sorted out by your specialist. The bilateral breast removal in extreme cases is availed if the risk of developing cancer is too high. It is followed by radiation therapy to kill the remaining cancerous cells in the area to check the further spreading of cancer.
