** ***** ** * **** **** ************* She understands the problem and gives the right medicines.
I had acute anxiety and she treated me out of it. The most important part was, I could function and do my work seamlessly. Her medicines didn’t dull me at all.
After I was cured, I referred anyone who needed help to her. All of them were happy with the treatment and are now living better lives.
She is a very kind hearted doctor I have ever came across. She listens to the problem and gives enough of time to patients to share their problems.
She gives a homely feeling where patients don't hesitate to discuss with here there emotions and issues.
Thank you Ma'am for all you support throughout the years🙏
I have been seeing Dr. Jalpa Bhuta since last four and half years . She is a great doctor, a very good listener and knows how to make her patients feel comfortable. She is very friendly and kind and thus I feel she is a boon for people like me with anxiety issues. I can absolutely vouch for her.
I have been consulting Dr. Jalpa Bhuta for more than 2 years for anxiety and depression. I was prescribed medication and was in touch for regular follow ups. With COVID, the consultation moved to whatsapp and I used to fix calls now and then to discuss the medication. My goal was to, as can be imagined, taper down and be free of the medication as soon as advisable.
I was also in touch with a therapist who was recommended by Dr. Jalpa Bhuta and I was very happy with her. So I told the therapist that I would write an online testimonial for her.
I recently moved to the Netherlands, and I informed Dr. Jalpa Bhuta about it. She sent me a voice message with good wishes and that "it would be great to get that testimonial". I felt uncomfortable to know that this private conversation I had with the therapist was shared with Dr. Jalpa Bhuta. Seeing that they had spoken among themselves and that it was assumed that the testimonial was for both, I did not reply to that voice message.
When it was time for my follow up, I messaged Dr. Jalpa Bhuta (18th of June) asking if we could connect. I did not get a response to this all month, despite her knowing that I am on medication prescribed by her and that I was due for an appointment. I checked again on 26th July, to which I got a curt response saying 5.30 pm on the next day. All this time, I am on medication which has an impact on my health and I'm continuing a dose 2 months beyond the follow up time. At the allotted time, I sent a message asking if I could call and got no response. I called her after 10 minutes and she said that "the sofawallah came late" and that she had to attend to him and hung up without any discussion on when we could reschedule to. And that was it - no apology or explanation. I wasn't informed of this earlier or even at the time of the appointment.
For the next appointment, I again moved all my work aside and was ready. On checking she messaged saying that she will confirm only after I pay the consulting fee in advance. This was strange as I've been paying regularly all these years and never prior. I asked to clarify the amount. She replied saying that 'international patients' are charged 2.5 times the consultation. This was quite surprising as I was using WhatsApp, still Indian and just located elsewhere. And the calls are just a few minutes. I didn't see the difference in the service provided. But she said I could pay the initial (Indian) amount and I did so.
We went ahead with the call and when I asked about the fee, she got very defensive and hung up on me saying "she didn't have to answer the question". We hadn't even finished the consultation. I just got a prescription on whatsapp for the medication, written on the Global Hospitals letterhead.
I called her back asking what was wrong and why she has been behaving like this, to which she said that she doesn't consult anyone who is out of India as it is not l, and she was making an exception for me. I was not informed of this, which puts me at risk as I am in a new country. Also she knew I was moving while I was in India and she did not give me a handover or inform me that she cannot consult me anymore. And then she said that me asking her about her fee was disrespectful to her profession. The conversation was heated and this constant hanging up is not at all respectful to me as a person. At the end of it all she then said that she was upset with me not replying to her message asking for a testimonial.
In conclusion:
- A Psychiatrist cannot take a medication course so lightly.
- Very rude, disrespectful tone and demeanour
- ******* ** ** **** ** ********** ** *** ********* I am the one being treated and I had to try to calm down the conversation
- No way forward or professional hand over given. I have to start from scratch with a doctor here.
- Sending me a prescription on the letterhead of a hospital which is based in Mumbai.
