Emphysema occurs when alveoli, small air sacs, starts breaking down to form bigger sacs, which blocks normal air flow of the lungs. Emphysema treatment aims at improving shortness of breath and reducing the number of hospitalization. Blood test is recommended to find the count of white blood cells and red blood cells as in an advanced emphysema, the count of red blood cells climb up.

Shortness of breath while doing nothing

Hi Experts, I feel shortness of breath any time during the day after a sneeze or suddenly it starts after I drink water. Mostly happens at home and not when I'm at the gym or work. I take montel lc to fix it or foracort pump. Montek lc works for 2-3 days and then the same problem again starts. Same trend from years. Plz help.

Hi, I had sarcoidosis whixh was in remission. Somedays back i got flu with runny nose, fever and sore throat. Got blood test and crp and ace level were elevated. Can it be sarcoidosis active again or flu can also raise ACE?

Right Side Chest Pain while breathing
