Visited Dr. Srinivas Singisetti (Addiction Psychiatrist) For Psychiatric Consultation
Happy with: Doctor friendlinessTreatment satisfaction
My mother has been suffering from Clinical Depression since 7 years. While she would recover again but the process was always painful. The depression made things difficult for us as a family and even with sharing the burden me, my sister and my father were getting exhausted. We would make weeks of progress on her lifestyle only to see everything get undone in matter of days / minutes sometimes with her depressive episodes. We had to just watch her endure her pain, unable to motivate, feeling helpless- the whole sequence inching us closer to depressions of our own.
Most recently my mom’s father passed away and this had a profound impact on her. This scenario is difficult for regular people, with her diagnosed depression she spiralled out of control. She was either sleeping throughout the day or getting tensed over very small things. Not eating food, not watching movies, not enjoying family time, even grandkids. We were also tired having tried multiple doctors in multiple cities. As primary care givers, we did not even know how to react to her moods. At the doctor, my mother exhibit only one type of mood, but with family and primary care givers she exhibited so many more - ranging from suicidal thoughts to extreme anger.
It was at this point I heard about a similar relative who underwent treatment with Dr Srivinas Singisetti. He calmed us and started her medication. More importantly he also helped me understand what to do, what not to do in different moods of my mother. He was very available over WhatsApp when I reached out for intermittent symptoms and responded with any changes in medicine we should be doing. This simple reachability separates him from a huge list of other doctors - and this is especially important when dealing with a patient whose moods can reach extremes.
Thankfully the medicine started working after a run-in period of 2 weeks. Any ups and downs during this time, the doctor was extremely reachable. It has been two weeks now my mother has shown great signs of improvement. She used to be most depressed in the mornings and we used to dread the morning time. Now she wakes up, does her Pooja, makes breakfast, read books and other household activities that she was unable to do since many months.
I thank you Doctor Srinivas Singhisetty for how you have helped my mother and my family.
Visited Dr. Nookinaidu Chitikela (Urologist)
I was recommended to Apollo Hospitals after being diagnosed with prostate cancer by another urologist. Then through known sources in the Doctor fraternity, who recommended Dr. N Naidu, I approached him with all my previous reports. He has taken the time to go through all the reports, explained the various treatments available for my medical condition and advised radical robotic prostatectomy (surgery for removal of the prostate gland). I was initially reluctant to get operated and had taken the advise of another couple of Doctors who gave their first preference to surgery. On being convinced and no other best way, as was initially informed to me by Dr. Naidu, I gained confidence in him and followed his advise from time to time. I was operated on 20th March 2022, Sunday, at Apollo Hospital, Visakhapatnam. The operation lasted for about four hours. I had never experienced any inconvenience post-operation and was able to sit the next day morning and was able to stand & walk by the next day evening. As per the medical norms and as was warned by Dr. Naidu, urinary incontinence was the issue, so had to use an external catheter. for two weeks. I requested Doctor if I could remove the catheter early, but he strongly rejected my request, stating that one should abide by the "shastra". Except for urinary incontinence, I am quite fine. It's six months now and am continent almost 90%. The best part of this Doctor is that he is available even over mobile when required unless he is busy with any operation. However, he calls back or responds over WhatsApp. We can understand a Doctors role and his tight timelines. He is cool, young and energetic efficient and experienced Doctor is the only experienced robotic surgeon in Vizag to my knowledge. He is very dependabele. I wish him to achieve more success in his career and pray to God for his welfare.

Happy with: Doctor friendlinessExplanation of the health issueTreatment satisfactionValue for moneyWait time
I had a very good experience with Dr. Srinivas Singisetti. I had gone in with several symptoms related to ADHD, OCD, Trauma and Social Anxiety Disorder. I wanted to get a formal diagnosis done for ADHD.
The doctor wanted to understand my context, background and journey so far - to obtain a clear picture of the broader landscape before suggesting or proceeding with diagnosis. He took an approach of working from the basics or first principles, something that I really appreciate about him. Only after gaining a deep understanding of my journey, particularly the ones around my trauma, did he step further onto diagnosis, followed by the treatment plan.
Dr. Srinivas is very approachable and is someone who doesn’t judge you. This allowed me to express freely without any hesitation. I felt heard. The diagnosis allowed me to gain a better understanding of myself and the problems that I was facing. I was also hesitant over the years to take any medicine for my problems. The doctor explained the pros and cons of everything that helped me gain the desired confidence to try out medication.
The medication helped me quite a lot. I’m sure it had a big role in clearing away some major blockers that I was experiencing since a long time in my mental landscape. I’m feeling much better already. I’m sure I’ll be living a more peaceful life in due course of time.
If you are having a difficult time and are struggling to make sense of your thoughts, feelings, bodily experiences or any mental health challenges, I’d strongly recommend approaching Dr. Srinivas Singisetti. The newer perspectives that have opened up having worked with him, have been very beneficial to me. I’m confident that you’ll have a good experience too.
Thanks again doctor, for all your time and support :)
