Dr. Shayanth M is a qualified consultant Psychiatrist. He has done his MD Psychiatry from one of the Country’s most reputed Institute: National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bengaluru. He has done his MD thesis dissertation on novel treatment modalities (transcranial direct current stimulation) to treat Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). He has research experience of publishing various articles in prestigious journals of psychiatry. He has authored many chapters in various reputed books in Psychiatry and has been editor of books on Depression in Diabetes Mellitus, and Grief in Palliative care. He has completed Post-doctoral Fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry from NIMHANS. He has completed DNB (Diplomate of National Board) in Psychiatry.He has completed fellowship from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) and he is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).He has worked as consultant psychiatrist at a public mental health unit at Northern Health in Melbourne, Australia. He takes holistic bio-psycho-social and person-centred approach in his assessments and treatment.
