I'm satisfied with the doctor 100%

The medical field is often a slippery slope to tackle with some doctors who are trigger happy and quick to recommend surgery. Dr. Vidya Desai is a beacon of comforting light amidst the chaos. I went to the doctor for acute pelvic pain. I gave her a recent CT scan, which had reported a 5 cm Hemmorhagic cyst and a more recent ultra sound report that reported that the Cyst has ruptured and gone away. However, my chronic pelvic pain continued to linger. Since I had been suffering from pelvic pain for 9 months, the doctor was extremely patient, open minded and non judgemental in listening to all my symptoms as she took detailed notes. Many women in India would agree that to find a non judgemental, open minded gynaecologist in India who doesn’t shudder at the words “Pre-marital sex” is like finding a needle in a hay stack. Doctor Vidya is modern and in with the times. She carefully examined me and concluded that my pelvic pain may not even be a gynac issue. On the other hand, other gynacs upon hearing my symptoms were quick to suggest laproscopy. I liked Doctor Vidya’s approach as she said that surgeries are the last resort. Her optimism was very calming. Doctor Vidya also recommended that I Whatsapp her the reports and don’t see her unless highly necessary thereby saving me the time, effort and money of an in person appointment. I was consulting Dr.Vidya Desai Mohan for my pcos problem before my pregnancy. Her guidence was so good that I got pregnant within 3months. I continued with her throughout my pregnancy, but started sending me for the scanning in last two months to Dr.Sailaja Vallaballeni, fetal medicine in Cloudnine, Old airport road .She use to give the scanning report as baby is small and underweight. My due date was on 25 January, 2016. I went for last pregnancy scan on 23January, 2016, where she again gave the report as underweight baby.So, with this scanning report, I consulted Vidya desai, where she decided to do a C-section on 25 Jan, reason she gave was, "baby is too small, and will be unable to push in normal delivery". The way Dr. Vidya responded on last day was disappointing. Unconvinced with the response went for a second opinion by getting another scan done on same day but this time in a different center and consulted Dr.Shailaja babu, Sampoorna clinic, in bank colony, katriguppe. She said, it is very much possible for normal delivery looking at the report. So, I got admitted in Sagar Chandramma, VVPuram. Induced on 25 January for normal delivery procedure. My daughter was 2.92kgs when born much to the delight and happiness of everyone in family.
