Dr Vidyadhar insisted on having an MRI of the full spine done before he would comment. After seeing the MRI reports he diagnosed him with myelomalacia, created a sense of urgency & insisted us to get him admitted on that day itself, for spinal laminectomy and fusion surgery. He explained the surgery would happen the next day, and my father in law would be discharged the day after, after making him walk. ** ******** ** * ** **** ** ********* ******* ********** ***** * ** ****** ** ********* *********** After consulting multiple doctors each of whom had advised surgery, we got him admitted in Manipal under Dr. Vidyadhar after a week, and was operated on the next day. He showed a pic of the xray of his neck with a screw as proof of his successful surgery. My father in law was shifted to ventilation after being kept on post op for about 5 hrs during which his CO2 levels became 65 whereas for a normal healthy person it's around 35. He was slowly recovering in ICU and after 3 days he was shifted to HDU as in his condition all his vitals had to be monitored. On the next day he had to be ventilated again as now his Co2 shot up to 107 with all the monitoring. Based on lot of research and multiple suggestions from different people, I decided to consult Dr. Vidyadhara S (HOD Spine Department - Manipal Hospital) for my mother Renu Anand's spine problem as she was suffering from Leg pain & numbness since last few years due to her spine issue. While consultation he patiently examined deeply, listened to her problem and gave us the much needed confidence and advise to undergo a spine surgery L3/L4 and L5/L6 fusion/decompression. Because of his level of knowledge, confidence and expertise we did not give a second thought and decided to go ahead for the surgery. Her surgery happened last week on 18th Aug 2022 and I am happy to say that she started walking on the evening of her surgery date itself and as today its her 5th day post surgery she is improving everyday. Dr. Vidyadhara is a true gem and a Big Thanks to him for being so much more than I ever would have thought I could find in a senior doctor. Shoutout for a great team of doctors headed by Dr. Vidyadhara especially Dr. Bala, Dr. Ashish and Dr. Prabhakar for their guidance and support starting from the first day itself till today. I have never came across such a wonderful and a professional team of doctors who tirelessly work 24×7 for the service of their patients. Thanks to Dr. Vidyadhara and entire spine team of Manipal for the tremendous skill in performing my mom's surgery. Your talent and caring manner is a credit to the medical profession. You guys are truly a lifesaver... Thank you, again !!!

I am writing this review after 12 weeks of my son’s right shoulder surgery [arthroscopic bankart repair].
I came to know about Dr. Sushal Shanta Kumar through our long trusted and renowned pediatrician doctor.
Based on this advice, I consulted Dr. Sushal to understand the treatment process for the injury sustained by my son.
He patiently heard the case, physically examined my son and forthwith identified the problem causing discomfort to my Son. This was corroborated by the MRI Scan report as well.
Dr. Sushal after careful examination of all reports and physical examination of my son suggested us to go for bankart surgery for repair of the shoulder. He drew the parts of the shoulder and explained in detail the root cause of the issue causing discomfort to my Son’s right shoulder. He as well showed a video which had complete details that helped us understand, the root cause of the discomfort and the treatment process for repair of the injury, in a more practical way. These treatment qualities and skills are the true traits of a real experienced expert doctor.
The surgery was done in Manipal Hospital by Dr. Sushal and his team.
We were in the hospital for two nights and were discharged on the third day.
In the post-surgery consulting visits, he checked upon the recovery progress and taught some exercises as well.
My Son is currently in physiotherapy sessions and is on the road towards complete recovery.
A big thanks to Dr. Sushal Shanta Kumar for supporting us through out with all his expert skills and a very good attitude. He was always there whenever we needed his support.
He is a wonderful orthopedic who is always helpful, compassionate & lovely to speak with, at every appointment.
We are extremely happy to have come to know about Dr. Sushal who in my personal opinion is arguably the best shoulder orthopedic expert doctor in Bengaluru.
I would definitely recommend Dr. Sushal Shanta Kumar to anyone requiring a shoulder or any orthopedic injury treatment.

I would like to first of all thank doctor Baliga and his team for the tremendous work that they do , day in and day out.Over the last few years I have visited doctors in Tata memorial Mumbai, tata memorial varanasi, Fortis Bangalore, Apollo Lucknow Apollo Bangalore and in all those hospital visits I have been rarely impressed as much as I am with the clarity and confidence of doctor Baliga. My father had a oral surgery for cancer 3 years back in Tata memorial and I met doctor Baliga through Dr Srinivas kandula( who also is a gem of doctor) for complications with respect to remaining teeth. My father had a very limited mouth opening due to surgery and radiation , where barely a spoon could only go through. He had tooth decay and to extract this tooth I could not find any doctor even ready to attempt this extraction.few doctors suggested general anaesthesia few suggested another surgery on the healthy side of face to make space for tooth extraction. But it was only doctor Baliga with his 48 years of experience who was ready to do it under local anaesthesia and with minimum surgical cuts .There are negative reviews regarding his time allocation and minimal explanation that he gives but you need to understand that All the review are from attendents who are frustrated more from the desease and less from the doctor and I understand that even I was at time frustrated.but you have to realise he is 72 years old doctor who is performing at highest efficiency and at times operating in excess of 50 patients everyday, taking cases which no one else will take.I just want to thank him and his team from the bottom of my heart.
Visited Dr. K Hemanth Kumar (GastroIntestinal Surgeon)
Hello! Recently, my husband underwent an Acute Appendicitis surgery, where his appendix inflamed and was filled with pus. He complained of massive abdominal discomfort and kept vomiting without any food and water.
My husband, Sudip Bhattacharya got diagnosed of the above health condition on 6th January, 2023 at Manipal Hospital, Emergency Unit, at Old Airport road, Bengaluru. Dr K. Hemanth Kumar was the doctor, who we had consulted. He and his team were so fast, that they began the treatment immediately and prepared my husband mentally and physically for the surgery.
I must share that Dr K. Hemanth is a very empathetic medical professional and he took special care to ensure that his patient and family are all comfortable and confident. The surgery was done on the same day at night 9 pm and by 11 pm, my husband was talking with us.
The Dr briefed us post the surgery about his condition and conveyed that my husband is perfectly fine and will recover soon. We were asked to stay in the hospital for a week time and Dr K. Hemanth Kumar's team took the needed care to ensure that my husband recovered soon.
I can only say one thing that we all are grateful to Dr K. Hemanth Kumar for his expert medical attention during and post the surgery. Today on 19th Jan, 23, we went to show my husband to the Dr K. Hemanth Kumar and learnt that my husband is perfectly fine. We all need such good and professional Drs who treat patients with so more care and affection. Thank you, Deboshri Bhattacharya

I took my father to manipal hospital in the year 2018. My father was a Craniopharyngioma(Brain Tumor) exsicion patient since 2005. Till 2017 my father was treated by other neurologist in some other reputed hospital. In the year 2018 his condition got worse. He had 90 percent loss of memory and mobility issues. The doctor from the other reputed hospital couldn't identify the root cause. We had no hopes of my father survival. At last we went to manipal hospital. Luckily we chose Dr Manjunath. I think he is God for us. He went through the patient past history. He patiently treated my father. Of course he had to start from scratch with his medications. My father was terminally ill. We slowly got little hopes of his survival. The severity of the illness was to such an extent, he was hospitalized four times in the span of 6 months. It's very challenging to retrieve mobility and trust me doctor successfully retrieved both mobility and 90 percent lost memory. Doctor used to visit even on sundays. He is such an amazing doctor. He listen to the events occurred very carefully. Retrieving 90 percent memory is not a joke at the age of 65. It's challenging and yes the doctor did it. Doctor tried to find the root cause in every way, from doing all kinds of tests to sending samples to nimhans hospital (for spl tests). Hats off to you sir. My father is an Rtd Police officer. He is doing well since 2018. My father is having regular consultation with the doctor. I highly recommend doctor for any neurological issues. Writing the reviews from Ireland.

Visited Dr. Lalchand Bandagi (Cardiologist) For Coronary Angioplasty / Bypass Surgery
** *** **** ******* ***** ** *** ********* *** ** **** ** *** *****. I am writing this review on behalf of my family and a context is required hence a lengthy review.
My mother in law MALLIHA,65Y had complained of breathlessness last year in August. She stays in Tirunelveli, Tamilnadu with her husband. She was admitted to the nearest hospital where her diagnosis said 90 percent blockage in 2 arteries in heart. She was advised to undergo a double angioplasty, which she did but after a mere 50 days she got a major attack. During the probe it was found that one of the arteries was ruptured during the angioplasty procedure and only a bypass could make her survive.
We, helplessly called multiple hospitals in Bangalore to get an appointment, you name it - Narayana Hrudalaya said no appointment for 15 days, Fortis didn't reach out to us on time while we tried long queues in call centers, and Apollo gave a delayed response saying it would cost 10 lakhs+ and only if you say yes we can make the arrangements.
Manipal was the only hospital where we were able to at least speak to the doctor directly. Thankfully we reached out to Dr. Lalchand Bandagi on time. During our first video call consultation he assured us if we can bring her to the hospital by the next day or two he will perform the surgery asap. He was quick enough to study her reports and spoke to us in a way that made us believe she can survive. We brought her overnight in ambulance all the way from Tirunelveli to Manipal. And on the same day her bypass was done, it was a 5 hour long surgery. Dr. Lalchand literally saved her from misery, actually all of us. It was a very complicated surgery and the entire team was on it. His reviews and availability even after months of the procedure was impeccable. The smile on his face and hand on our shoulder made us believe that there is hope. He was so hopeful. We would recommend Dr. Lalchand and the hospital any day. Our entire family was going through so much and he was indeed a ray of hope for all of us.

Sometime really we can feel Doctors are just next to God. I’m not a very much feedback writing person. Still I would like to share my experience of the most difficult journey of my life . My wife was seven months pregnant and she was detected Corona positive. I would like to thank God that She came under the treatment of Dr Neha. Somehow I have managed a bed in Manipal and the Treatment started. I am really thankful to Dr. Neha, she shared her personal number and being so busy in the pandemic situation she always replied all my concerns and doubts. I was really under pressure coz the case was too critical and question was of two life and One was growing inside. Dr. Neha more than medicine always inject positivity and confidence into my wife and I think that worked most in her case. After some days she got discharged and now we are blessed with a baby boy. I must say both my wife and my child blessed with such a nice doctor like Dr Neha. Mam,thanks is not enough for all your help, it is much more than that what you did for us.
