Dr. Tanumay Raychaudhury is an alumnus of the prestigious Christian Medical College, Vellore where he trained during his MBBS and MD degrees. He is a fellow in cutaneous oncology and cutaneous lymphomas at the Hospital Saint-Louis, Paris, under the present director and chief, Prof Bagot. He has also specialized in Dermato- surgery under Dr. Varlet and is a fellow of the French College of Dermatologic Surgery.Hospital Saint-Louis is the world’s first dermatology school, where the likes of Albert, Hallopeau, Bazin, Besnier, Darien, Sabouraud, Civatte, Brock Gougerot and so many stalwarts in the history of dermatology have laid the founding stones of the specialty.He is a national gold medalist at the three-tier national exam conducted by AIMS, Thrissur in dermatology. The International Society of Dermatology identified him as a young leader of global dermatology in 2010 at Seoul, Korea.He is an active member of the academic group of Indian Association of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprology, a reviewer for 4 dermatology journals. He is a member of the editorial board of the Indian Journal of Dermatology. He is also a member of the national treatment guidelines team for skin diseases. In the year 2012, my wife was seriously infected by Vaginal Herpes infection. It wasn't a pleasant experience. He started prescribing medicines, without even properly hearing me out. Firstly he decided to give medicines for six months, then suddenly changed his mind and made it for 3 months. I had a query regarding creatine use for hair-fall, because I regularly workout and take supplements. But as soon as he heard about Whey protein, he started stating that whey proteins have anabolic steroids. When, I contradicted him, he stated 'do whatever you wish'. I mean we still leave in a place, where doctors say this. I wouldn't recommend him.

Doctor spent only 5-7 minutes. It seemed he was in a hurry, although i had a prior appointment and i reached on time.He did not even examine my skin properly, gave me a capsule which is having some side effects with which i was not comfortable. Even after requesting him to change the medicine and give me something similar having less side effect, he did not change the medicine.I was confused about the application procedure of a particular medicine, so i mailed him stating the same.In his chamber he told to reach out to him for any queries through mail, but he did not answered my mails.

Excellent, his way of making patient understand the problem makes the disease half cured. His way of communication is a testimony of his immense knowledge on the subject. Within 2 weeks started feeling changes on my problem. Apart from medicine he is expertise in all modern treatments like lasers and other dermatosurgery.
