Hi, in case infants who are less than 1year of age breathing fast has lot of explanations. Yes it can be normal but if the baby is taking rest during the feeding, or if it having any other signs of respiratory difficulties like chest in drawing, nasal flare etc then it is case to be evaluated for respiratory distress.
Next Steps
Next best step is to visit Neonatologist or a Paediatrician in person to get an opinion.
Health Tips
At any point if there is bluish discolouration of nose or lips, decreased activity , abnormal sounds during breathing baby should be taken to hospital in emergency. By - Dr Manjunath Huggi Neonatologist PEOPLETREE HOSPITAL

Baby breathing fast during breast feeding is normal, but it should not be persistent and count the number of breaths in a minute, it should not be crossing 50 breaths in a minute. Keep a watch on excessive sweating while feeding, cold, cough, wheezing or chest retraction if any of these present then you should consult a pediatrician
