An abdominal sonography or ultrasound can detect fluid within abdominal cavity and some dwellings and tumors. However smaller and deeper tumors may be missed due to limitations imposed by fat, presence of gas in intestines, etc.
It is best to do investigations as advised by a clinician who can interpret radiological findings in the light of his or her clinical evaluation
