Your symptoms are short lived which is always a good sign. Talking about ovarian cysts at the age of 52, Its important to make sure that all sinister causes of ovarian cysts post menopause are ruled out.i am certain your doctor would have checked the tumour markers such as CA 125. Ultrasound scan to assess size and septations within the cysts in ovaries. Once all these causes have been ruled out then it would be acceptable to say your symptoms of diarrhoea are not related. However ovarian cysts can cause pain abdomen depending on their size. For further information please read the patient information leaflet on post menopausal ovarian cysts at www.rcog.org.uk
