Acid reflux my throat ulcer  4 years
I have been suffering from acid reflux and a throat ulcer for almost 4 years, and it still has n’t healed. I consulted an ENT specialist and followed a 2-month treatment, but the ulcers increased despite using tablets. I’m worried about what to do next. Can I undergo an upper GI endoscopy? Please give me some suggestions. I’m still facing throat discomfort, and there’s a slight bad smell from my throat, which sometimes feels like a cold.

You likely have chronic Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) with possible Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (LPR). An upper GI endoscopy is necessary to evaluate the extent of damage and rule out complications The bad smell from your throat suggests possible infection (H.phlori infection)that needs proper evaluation 24-hour pH monitoring may be needed to assess acid reflux severity
