Sir/Mam..it is 6 months over having acl and meniscus surgery in my right knee..it is not severe that i had screws in my knee...but torn part was removed and rest of it was sewn...i am able to walk normal but feeling pain while running and while getting onto steps...i have become overweight and getting other gynaeic health issues and doctor advised me to go for gym...can i go to the gym now...can i do threadmill running

Ideally weght bearing exercises should not be done in your case.
You can consider swimming as alternative methods of exercise.
Diet restriction and natural methods are better.
