Acute rectocecal appendix
My friend is diagnosed with acute rectocecal appendix what is mean by this and he immediately need surgery ??

Yes appendicitis requires surgery. Retrocaecal appendix means appendix located behind caecum. This can make retrieval of appendix a bit difficult.

Yes. It needs surgery. It just means appendicitis with appendix behind the colon. That makes it resection a little difficult relatively. Nothing much significant. Except surgery is needed.
