Addicted to selfie
I am compulsively feeling bad with the way I look. I have become addicted to taking pictures of myself. Do it all day long and I feel panicked when I go out and haven't taken at least 10 different angles pictures to check how I look. I have the feeling that this thing totally affects my self confidence instead of reassuring me.

Hello dear, Behavioral addictions are getting common, and selfie addiction would be placed in the same group. These addictions are characterized by inability to cut down on behaviour, irritability, guilt, and neglect of other pursuits and activities for the index behaviour besides other symptoms of craving/ uncontrollable urge, and anxiety when behaviour is not performed. The management of these behaviours is mainly through psychological intervention along with some medication as per assessment. When my suggestion for you is to please seek a consultation with a psychiatrist for comprehensive assessment and further management. Be well assured that your condition can be helped with proper guidance and treatment. Do not hesitate or delay in seeking help as delay can lead to complications. Hope this helps you. Best wishes for your health and future.
