Hi, autoimmune diseases and acquired immune deficiency syndrome(AIDS) are different. Normally Our immunity is developed in such a way that it can differentiates between our own body parts and foreign particles that enter the body. In autoimmune disease our immune system fails to differentiate between own and foreign so it mounts immune response against our own body parts eg: in alopecia against hair cells and causes baldness. In acquired immune deficiency syndrome, deficiency of immunity will be there because viruses like HIV attacks on our immune system and decreases white blood cells. Due to lack of immunity other bacteria, viruses attacks easily on our body and causes furthur damage. In aids you can get diseases like TB, RTI,etc very easily.
