Hii as the doc above said its called as PERIOCORONITIS, that is presence of swollen gums over your teeth. That area cannot be cleaned effectively so food and bacteria keeps depositing there as well as the upper teeth hit the gums again and again causing there injury. So in turn the gums get swollen up, u have pain on closing, cant eat, bad taste and bad breath comes out. You can do warm water with salt (warm saline) rinses and along with that u can a good antibiotic for 3 days but i  would advice a considerable caution as this doesnt get healed with meds alone. Go for a good opinion from anyone with a visit.
Next Steps
Visit a dentist and get your checkup done. That thing may have to be removed, u can always ask for use of LASER as opposed to blade. Or if it reoccurs again and again u may have to go for a tooth removal
Health Tips
Visit a dentist and do warm water rinses as a first aid
