Hello,  As per your description your symptoms of seeking perfection, symmetry, meticulous but excessive planning, etc are likely symptoms of Obsessive compulsive personality or anankastik personality. Every human being is endowed with a specific and somewhat unique blueprint of thinking and behaviour patterns which are synonymous with his her psychological make up or personality. Personality is what we are, what we are likely to do in various circumstances.. However persons with obsessive compulsive personality are prone to develop depression,  obsessive compulsive disorder, and are likely to be introverted and have problems on management of stress. Hence if these symptoms are causing you significant distress and disturbance in functioning then please seek a consultation with a psychiatrist near you for comprehensive assessment and management.. A detailed assessment will be of great benefit to you as per your description.. Hope this helps you. Best wishes for your health and future. Regards Delhi Mind Clinic
