  4. Viability scan. Normal. please advise.

Viability scan

Hi, I had my viability scan at 6 weeks and 4 days as per my periods date. But the Dr could identify only the yolk sac but not the fetal pole. Dr told to do a rescan after 2 weeks. Is this is normal. Please advise. Thanks in advance.

It's quite common in early pregnancy. Often the repeat scan finds everything normal. Don't worry. Just repeat the scan after 2 weeks

Yes this usually happens if there was a delayed fertilization, two weeks after can show foetal pole if all is well .
