Ankle equinus deformity
MY bhagna name Swarit Kumar whose femur fractured eight years ago elsewhere and since then he has been facing movement disorder and unable to walk then we consulted an orthopaedic doctor Dr. R N singh (consulting orthopaedic surgeon). The above said Dr. Examined the patient and concluded that the patient has an ankle equinus deformity. Therefore, please suggest necessary treatment in this regard.

GOING THROUGH UR CASE— I feel because of # femur- there might be shortening of limb— Would require ilizarov lengthening technic Just rule out spina bifida by getting MRI LUMBO SACRAL SPINE

Hi, detailed history and examination in required to plan any form of treatment for equinus deformity in foot. Your child's movement disorder will also need to be checked. Currently you can try exersices or splints but if the deformity is fixed your child may need surgery.
