It is true but, the amount of drug absorbed from the mucosa of respiratory tract will cause either no side effect or very minimal side effects. Regarding urinary retention, only in people with BPH it has been seen to be very obvious and troubling. In young patients with normal prostate, the amount of drug absorbed from the mucosa isn't significant enough to cause retention per se. No other bladder issues will happen. Don't worry. In fact the side effect of stopping the inhaler is more than everything else.
