Anxiety and ocd
Hello doctor,i suffer from anxiety and ocd since 7 years. But the symptoms are in control even without medication but i feel the need to calm my mind so now i want to shift to ayurvdic medicines as allopathy has many side effects, so an ayurvdic doctor has prescribed Saraswataristm and manasmitra, so i want to know that can i mix these medicines with alcohol, are there any serious side effects of mixing, i don't want to quit alcohol, and its ok if the medicines don't give results with alcohol. Can there be any serious or dangerous side effects. I just drink 650ml of beer(8%alcohol) once or twice a week. Please advice and i will be thankful if u can explain in detail. Thanks

Hi There, Taking alcohol and manasmitra can be dangerous. OCD and other such disorders need a strong will power to be cured. You have already been prescribed with Saraswatarishtam which itself has 10% alcohol but should be used in prescribed doses only that too mixed with equal water. Just start taking medicines, maybe you might not need alcohol. As the medicines increase your will power too.
Next Steps
Try meditation, yoga and morning walk.
Health Tips
Best thing will be that you should undergo panchakarma therapy too. The shirodhara will help you a lot. Visit us at Ayubless Ayurveda Clinic for better results.
