For anxiety, relaxation, and focus, the typical dose of ashwagandha is from 300 mg to 600 mg per day.
Next Steps
However, it's best to start with a lower dose (300–600 mg) to assess your body's response.
Health Tips
You should also consult an Ayurvedic doctor to confirm whether this dose is safe for your needs and to rule out any possible interactions or side effects.

An 800 mg daily dose of ashwagandha is generally considered safe for most people and is commonly used for anxiety, relaxation, and focus. Studies have shown doses between 300-600 mg, taken twice daily, to be effective for these purposes. However, individual tolerance, body weight, and any underlying health conditions should be considered.
Next Steps
For anxiety, relaxation, and focus, it might be beneficial to start with a lower dose (300-500 mg per day) and gradually increase based on how your body responds. It's also recommended to consult a healthcare provider, especially if you're taking other medications.

Hello, First of all dependency on any medications are not advisable until and unless it is necessary. Based on your health aspect. As you are just 29 years old, Instead of medications focus more on balanced diet, regular exercise and meditation. Get proper sleep of 7-8 hours It will help you with anxiety and relaxation. Reduce screen time before sleeping.

Ashwagandha is a miraculous herb, but when used without proper knowledge of one's body type, age, location, vikriti type and Dosha involvement, it can cause harm in place of benefit in the wrong dose. Anxiety, lack of focus etc.is a symptom related to a disturbed gut brain axis,  which If left untreated will not resolve your issue. Since your age is 29 you are currently in a Pitta dominant period of your life, so keeping it in balance is the key to your good physical and mental health.  My suggestion to you would be to switch to HAIP DIET based on the principles of Ayurveda and practice the rebalancing techniques mentioned in HAIP DIET which will help you to create a balance between mind and body,  imbalance of which is one of the major reasons of disease. If you plan to add some safe herbs to your routine you can add, brahmi ghanvati , shankhpushpi ghanvati and shatavari churna that will help to keep pitta and vata in balance which are one of the leading causes of anxiety.

Dosage of medicine in ayurveda depends upon many factors like your prakruti, vaya( age), ritu( season) etc. No doubt Ashwagandha is very effective in curing anxiety, but as per my suggestion take it under doctor's guidance. For further information u can visit www.bhuvanaarogyamhospital.com

Ashwagandha is a very strong herb which has numerous benefits however it is recommended to take any herb with the guidance from a vaidya as he / she will be able to find the root cause of your concerns and may guide you properly and may be with that you wont able to find the need for taking it. Also if you're still looking for something then i would recommend you to go with Brahmi in any form like tablets/ choorna ,brahmi tea my personal favorite is brahmi ghrit!! It is even children safe also in improving their immunity if taken in proper dosage!!!
Next Steps
Would recommend you to consult your near by vaidya for proper healing
Health Tips
padabhyanga, taking hot water shower, sleeping on time, adding cow's ghee in the diet and some basic pranayam will be very good to practice for mental health
