Atrial flutter

Is atrial flutter curable.is catheter ablation the best solution.can the problem go on its own?I had mvr 6 ms ago and was in sinus rhythm but after a severe cough suddenly developer high heart rate 150 and it's just not coming down.have also got clot.now on thinners.is there hope for me?am I going to die?
