My 9 year old kids having minor epilepsy problem from last 2 years. Ongoing medicines leading to the slow learning and response.
My doctor has recommended the assessment for attention and learning disability.

it is indeed not necessary that medicines for epilepsy is only to be held responsible for his poor performance in studies. other factors such as IQ , attention, learning difficulties may Also contribute to the problem. undergoing the tests would help you to better understand your child's strengths and limitations which will help you to guide him better.

don't loose heart or be apprehensive as the good news is that there is always scope for improvement ....neither IQ, nor extent of learning disability if any is permanent. it is strongly recommended that the tests are done
