If you are having deficiencies you need therapeutic doses not prophylactic supplements. Vitamin B12 is a water soluble vitamin and gets excreted i urine while vitaminD is fat soluble and gets stored in body. Their daily requirments are not fulfilled so there is a state of deficiency and supplements cannot replenish it fast. High dose preparations of these vitamins correct deficiencies fast.
