Baby sleeps for 6 hours at night
My one month old baby sleeps for long duration at night from 11 pm until awakened at 5 or 6 am. She does not wake for feeding on her own. It takes lot of effort to wake her up from sleep (sometimes half hr) and still she is not fully awake at night. She takes feed for 2 to 5 mins and falls asleep again. During day she takes mixed feeding of breast and formula. In evening from around 5 pm she will not take long naps and ask for continuous feeds. Is this OK? How long can baby sleep for long hours without feeding  at night and until what age? Should we give continous short feedings in evenings?

Would advice to wake the baby up in the night atleast once 2-3 hrs and feed. It's not good to let the baby sleep without feeding for longer duration. Yes, babies do sleep for longer duration for usually more than 16-18 hrs a day in the initial months. If there is enough of breast milk and baby is gaining weight and passing 6-8 times urine per day and sleeping for a min 2-3 hrs after each feed , do avoid mixed feeding with formula. Advice for a regular follow up checkup with pediatrician.

There is a lot of variation in sleep and feeding cycles. If the baby is gaining weight and active, no need to worry. Please visit a pediatrician for check up
