visit an orthopedician, he will guide you for xrays and treatments. apart from that you could start lower back muscle strengthening exercises/spinal muscle exercises as lower back muscles are usually very weak and is more likely to be weak. avoid bending and lifting weights. make sure posture is straight while sitting, bike riding and standing(spine should not be bent). healthy diet is also a very important factor, avoid being obese.
I would advise you to meet an orthopedician so that you can be evaluated and undergo the necessary investigations such as X-Ray LS, CT/MRI(if indicated), etc. You may require painkillers, antacids, topical painkiller gel and you can also apply a hot water bag/towel over the back . The following steps may help:
- Eat healthy and have a balanced diet. Maintain the weight to a healthy weight as per the BMI(current BMI status is obese).
- Get regular exercise to keep your back muscles fit and flexible.
- Avoid prolonged sitting.
- When you do sit, maintain good posture.
- Use proper techniques for lifting (lift with your legs rather than your back).
- Avoid frequent bending and twisting. Especially avoid bending, twisting and lifting at the same time.
- Avoid situations where your spine is vibrated for long periods of time.
- Get enough sleep each day.(Adults require 8 hours of sleep)
