Diagnosed with Balanitis a Month ago. Urologist prescribed Lobate-Gm and antifungal tab for 10 days.
(symptoms was redness, mild itching/white discharge only visible after rubing)
After 5 days of treatment/ there was extream thinning of foreskin, veins become very visible and foreskin becomes very sensitive.
After completion of treatment , even a little bit friction used to cause redness, inflammation.
2 weeks later I observed a small cut on foreskin, and visited a dermatologist to ask him if the cut is because of thinning of skin or any other reason.
His diagnosis was infection only with either fungal or bacterial.
Treatment prescribed is T-bact cream and eberfun cream for 30 days along with ITZHH 200 capsul for 20 days.
I am currently taking this treatment.
Finally my question is.
1. will this thinning of foreskin bcoz of lobate gm be permanent ? Is there a way to reverse it?
2. Is eberfun and T bact safe to use for 30 days. or will it cause further thinning.

Hello,
Thinning of Foreskin: The thinning of the foreskin caused by prolonged use of steroid creams like Lobate-GM is usually temporary and reversible once the steroid is discontinued. The skin can regenerate over time with proper care and avoidance of irritants. Using mild moisturizers and following your dermatologistâs guidance can aid recovery.
Safety of Eberfun and T-Bact: Both eberconazole (Eberfun) and T-Bact (mupirocin) are generally safe for prescribed durations when used as directed by a dermatologist. These do not typically cause thinning of the skin, unlike steroid-based creams. It's important to use them only on affected areas and not for longer than prescribed.
Next Steps
If you experience any worsening symptoms or have concerns about prolonged use, I recommend discussing this with your dermatologist for personalized advice. I am happy to assist you further through an online consultation.
