Pregnancy test with home kit can be done a day after missing periods if u have regular cycles. Otherwise it may come false negative. U may also opt for blood test, that comes positive earlier also and is more specific

Do it when you are overdue by at least 3 days (preferably 5 days). It should be the first specimen in the morning.
