Hi dear Dr .. iam carrier thalassmia type beta minor .. and my hasband Normal .. i have one child 2 year old his carrier minor thalassmia .. my Hb Electrophorsis for parameters HbA0 79% HbA2 4.1% HbF 5.1% please help me what is the risk of minor thalassmia beta what should i do for my baby boy that carrier .. i take Folic Acid 400 mg every night .. is thalassmia trait risk in future?

Basically hb chain is madeup up two type of chain 1 is alfa chain and second is beta chain. Your question is risk of thalassemia that means beta chain abnormality.
