Black content in sputum
Hi,
I am 28 years old vegetarian non smoker non drinker woman. Recently 10 days back I had got viral fever, throat infection and cough. I consulted the physician and took 3 days medicinal course. Little bit of cough is still there. But from last 2-3 days I am observing that morning I see little of black color in the sputum. Later in the day or some other time it will be a normal sputum but morning time once or twice I get sputum with little of black content in that. What would be the reason.

You could be having persisting sinusitis from the infection. Use an antibiotic course for a week along with an antihistamine and a nasal decongestant.
