Black fungus or Mucormycosis is not seen commonly in normal population. But patients with uncontrolled diabetes gets covid and if they are on high dose steroids they have chances of getting Mucormycosis.
It is a matter of cleanliness and immunity of your body. Maintaining hygiene and cleanliness is the key precaution. Wash your mask after every use, air dry it properly and always use a clean and dry mask.
