My grandmother (age 85 years) slipped and fell in the bathroom. A bone in her pelvic region was broken ( X-ray report attached). The local doctor is recommending 3 months bed rest with minimal to no disturbance to the pelvic region. He recommended hanging bricks from that region for some pressure. He said at her advanced age surgery is not recommended. She has a very light appetite. Can you recommend any other course of action?

She need to undergo surgery ASAP.. Old patients cannot be immobilized for so long..
And she can definitely not walk or bear weight on her Right leg, till this fracture is fixed
She needs an operation immediately.
Old ppl can't b kept bed ridden for long as they start having multiple complication and don't survive for long.
Please consult an orthopedic doctor asap.
