Brown line through nail
I have this almost 2 mm thick brown line running vertically through my left index finger. from the stem of the nail to the top.

Hello.... Nail pigment bands or melanonychia are quite common in people who have dark skin.There are numerous other reasons why nail pigment banding occurs: trauma to the nail, medication, systemic diseases, vitamin deficiencies .If nail melanoma is suspected then a biopsy will be performed.consult your doctor.
