Bulky uterus
The result Ultrasound of abdomen is as follows: Uterus appears bulky, anteverted and measures 77x58x46 mm. Endometrium appears thickened and measures 11 mm. Myometrial echoes normal. Right ovary measures 22x15 mms Left ovary measures 18x16 mms. Both ovaries appear normal in echotexture. No free fluid in cul-de-sac.

Endometrial hyperplasia most often is caused by excess estrogen without progesterone. If ovulation does not occur, progesterone is not made, and the lining is not shed.
