Can headache due to tension be cured with Yoga
My Mother in Law takes a lot of tension. She has these stress headaches very often. She has high blood pressure and takes medicines for it. She is 56 years old. I have told her to do meditations and yoga for it rather taking medicines. Please tell me can headaches due to tension e treated with yoga?

Exercises, yoga and meditation relaxes a person, hence it definitely helps to an extend. But definitely it will not cure it completely. Psychotherapies can be more helpful to her. You can contact me or any other psychologist for consultation through practo. I can give online consultation as well.

hi.. stress headcahe is usually caused when a person takes in a lot of stress or worry. headache with people who have hypertension may also mean that their bp is high sometimes and that could also be due to tension. I would advise that u get her bp checked to see if the medications are keeping it in control or adjustments are needed. And doing stress relief techniques like yoga and meditation also help to bring down the stress
