Checking TSH during periods
Can TSH be tested when menstruating? Does the result get affected? My TSH has been under control for months now. My last test result for TSH was around 2.75. I've been on 75 mg of thyronorm. Today I checked after 4 months and my TSH has suddenly shot up to 8. I gave blood for the test today while on my second day of my periods and was wondering if that could affect the result? Though I know it's not linked, the sudden spike in my TSH made me think it might be.
