Chicken pox
Hi,
I took my 9 month old to PHC for vaccination today. I was sitting next to a mom with 1 year old baby.
After sometime i heard she was talking that her son got chicken pox last month.
I am afraid will it be contagious to my child and me as we were sitting near.
Please advise.

Chicken pox transmission occurs via direct contact. It is extremely unlikely that air transmission occurs. I understand you are concerned but you need not to worry.

The baby had an infection 1 month before.
It can,t spread after 15 days of infection.
So u and ur baby are safe from this.
