Chronic diarrhea of infant
My child 2 months of age has diarrhea by birth. Frequent hospitalisations and consultations remain fruitless and doctors cant diagnose with certainty.some says that its lactose intolerance others says it is renal some adrenal hyperplasia or sepsis but all kinds of medication are wasted. My child weight decreases from 3.5 kg to 2.5 kg. we all are much worried. plz help us . according to lab reporta serum electrolytes are disturbed and potassium and sodium are elevated.oliguria is also there.

This needs physical examination and investigation by a paediatrician to be treated further. But in general,the number of motions are not important at this age,the consistency is. If it's formed and soft,relax. Also,give regular breastfeeding and maintain hygiene.
