Constipation problem
My son is 2.5 years old. He is facing hard stool problem and face problem to pass it. He is eating everything in his diet. After doctors advice we are giving him lactopeg from last 6 months . Plz guide

No,drugs like lactopeg are just for symptomatic relief,they are stool softeners,and are harmful in the long run.
Stop bottle feeding if given,give just 2 milk feeds using a glass and 3-4 solid meals includi ng high fiber items such as cornflakes,dalia,green leafy vegetables,salad,and fruits like mango,pears,apple and oranges in the diet.
Do this strictly for a week,if no response,go in for a X-ray of abdomen to rule out a major but very rare condition called hirschsprung's disease.
